Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or BJJ for short, is known as the gentle art and became popularised as the ground game in the UFC. BJJ is mostly a ground-grappling martial art, with standing components from Judo and Wrestling.
The ethos of the sport is to enable a smaller, lighter fighter to be able to successfully subdue a larger, stronger opponent. Hence making for a great form of self defense.
Spent the day shooting Wards Gym's first in-house competition. Great fun with a bunch of legends

Between Crossfit, olympic weightlifting, various activities, and life in general, I tend to hurt myself a lot. Thankfully, the crew at Evolutio do a brilliant job of keeping my body together and working at it's best. So, when they asked me if I could produce something for their socials, I was more than happy to oblige!
I've lost count how many times I've been to the Philippines in my life, but this past trip was the first time I'd been to Siargao, and the first time I'd been with the intent of filming as much as I could. Over the 3 weeks, I saw Steve Aoki, escaped 2 tropical storms, and got the biggest case ocean fever imaginable.

Melbourne is an incredible city full of life and culture. It reminds me a lot of San Francisco, which is probably why I adjusted so easily. Most recently, it was voted "World's Most Liveable City" for the 7th year in a row, and to be perfectly honest, I can't really argue against it.

When I moved to Melbourne in 2016, I initially moved to Richmond because it was both convenient to work and the city. Fast forward to now, and I don't think I could have ever hoped to live in a better suburb...maybe if it was in the "Free Tram Zone" :)
